Where it comes from
It comes from the Japanese ちゃぶ台返し (chabudai-gaeshi), overturning a low dining table in a fit of anger. The ╯ box-drawing lines are the arms, °□° is the shouting face, ︵ is the motion, and ┻━┻ is the upside-down table.
When to use it
Great for games, bugs, and small daily disasters when you want to vent with humor. It can read as aggressive, so avoid it in tense work threads or real arguments.
Examples
- Lost to the last boss with 1 HP left (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
- The printer jammed again (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
