Everything you need to write about Kawasuta: descriptions you can copy, the numbers, the logo and who to email.

One line

Kawasuta is a free kaomoji app for iPhone and Android: Japanese text faces you can't type, one tap to copy — plus 33 games drawn entirely in text.

Short description

Kawasuta is a copy-and-paste app for kaomoji, the Japanese text faces like (≧▽≦) and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It carries 1,215 kaomoji in 30 moods, 1,054 ASCII art pieces and 33 mini games drawn only in characters, with weekly leaderboards and a league. No account, works offline, in English, Japanese and Korean.

Long description

Kawasuta (カワスタ in Japanese, 카와스타 in Korean) started as a kaomoji copy app and grew into a small text arcade. Its core is simple: 1,215 Japanese kaomoji sorted into 30 moods, 1,054 ASCII art pieces and about 990 Egyptian hieroglyphs — characters a phone keyboard can't type. Tap a face and it's copied; paste it anywhere.

Version 2.4 grows its games made entirely of text to 33 — snake, 2048, sudoku, minesweeper, chess, solitaire, Flappy-style and brain games — with weekly leaderboards, a daily board and a 30-player weekly league with promotion and demotion. Every game can also be played free in a browser at kawasuta.app, from the same code as the app.

Everything is plain text, so the app is tiny and works offline. There is no account and no sign-up. The app is free with ads; a one-time purchase removes them. It was formerly known as Insaticon.
